L2/L3 Protocol Developer - Network Programming (6-8 yrs)

Role :

As an L2/L3 Protocol Developer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of network protocols, primarily focusing on OSPF and BGP.

You will be working on cutting-edge networking technologies and contributing to the development of high-performance, scalable network solutions.

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and test L2/L3 protocol implementations, including OSPF, BGP, and BGP-Flowspec.

- Analyze and debug protocol issues, including performance bottlenecks and stability problems.

- Work closely with network engineers to understand their requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

- Develop and maintain test frameworks to ensure the quality and reliability of protocol implementations.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in networking technologies and standards.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Required Skills and Experience :

- 5+ years of experience in L2/L3 protocol development.

- Strong proficiency in C programming language, including data structures and algorithms.

- In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, UDP, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).

- Hands-on experience with OSPF and BGP protocols.

- Experience with BGP-Flowspec is a plus.

- Familiarity with network operating systems such as Linux (RedHat, CentOS) and Windows.

- Understanding of network virtualization and SDN concepts.

- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with DHCPv6, VLAN, BFD, ACL, and QoS.

- Knowledge of network security protocols (IPsec, SSL/TLS).

- Experience with network performance optimization techniques.

- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Perl)
