Job Summary: The Senior Procurement Specialist will play a critical role in managing the sourcing and procurement of materials, ensuring alignment with project requirements, cost objectives, and quality standards. This individual will lead vendor management, supply chain optimization, and procurement strategies to support our EV development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the entire P2P (Procure-to-Pay) process, from requisitioning to payment, ensuring seamless operations and compliance.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with vendors and freight forwarders.
Monitor and assess vendor performance for continuous improvement.
Oversee inventory levels and ensure system alignment with physical stock.
Manage procurement activities across categories to ensure cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.
Identify and evaluate vendors locally and globally to ensure high-quality supply.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring alignment with project goals.
Implement root cause analysis to address supply chain disruptions and improve delivery performance.
Ensure all procurement documentation complies with import/export regulations and internal policies.
Maintain accurate records related to supplier management and procurement activities.
Work closely with production, design, and finance teams to align procurement activities with project milestones.
Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and potential supply risks.
Support product development efforts through the timely sourcing of electrical and mechanical components.
Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience (3-5 years) in procurement, vendor management, and supply chain optimization, preferably in automotive or EV-related industries.
Expertise in managing the P2P (Procure-to-Pay) process, ensuring efficient operations from requisition to payment.
Strong understanding of BOM, MRP, and inventory management processes.
Proficiency in tools like SAP MM, SAP Logistics, or Microsoft Dynamics 365.
Knowledge of import/export procedures and documentation requirements.
Exceptional negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.
Ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams effectively.
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
