We build or contribute to infrastructure and software solutions to accomplish this. As a Senior SRE, you ll be the subject matter expert with operating systems and networking. You ll understand how our services are performing, we use DataDog (Logging+Metrics+APM) and Cloudwatch (by way of Datadog) to alert with Slack or PagerDuty.2
This position will be a hybrid from our Bengaluru office as part of our expanding site location with 2 days a week in the office. WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR
Masters or bachelors degree in computer science, or relevant experience
5+ years of experience in an SRE or Software Engineering role
Successful experience managing production environments at scale and an understanding that you need more than a for-loop and SSH to make it happen.
A strong belief that observability is critically important to run highly available and performant services.
SLO, SLI, and KPI are more than TLAs to you
Experience reading (or writing) part of or all of the SRE book and have contextualized it for different engineering teams and cultures.
Hands-on experience with shepherding services from design to production.
Experience tackling site-wide outages with experience focusing on lessons that were learned, and prevention of future issues
A passion for mentoring engineers and a belief in the investment of people
Experience with all of the PagerDuty ringtones available
A background in software with a passion for optimizing quality of service and developer experience
