The Vice President of Regulatory Engagement for Technology is responsible for managing CB CIO s engagement with regional regulators across all technology-related topics and regulations, for instance issued by Indian regulatory authorities, including the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), and Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), but as well to participate in exams from other regions, where India is the focus of questions and requests. The role ensures that any requests from regulators - whether from exams or information requests, are responded to in a concise way and a timely manner, in line with the expectations of our regulators.
The position requires mainly the following
proactive engagement with internal TDI staff (both SMEs and management), Infrastructure groups and Businesses, but as well regulators,
robust knowledge of (Indian) banking regulations and Deutsche Bank s overall control environment, specifically IT and IS controls,
the ability to influence internal stakeholders to be collaborative and constructive,
the ability to quickly dissect questions and requests in terms of what the actual focus of the topic is ( why do they ask) and where to address these questions within Deutsche Bank.

Your Key Responsibilities
Act as the primary CB CIO - point of contact for technology-related discussions with regulators, including RBI, SEBI, and NPCI, but as well foreign regulators.
Understand key regulations, such as RBI guidelines on digital banking, cybersecurity, data localization, and payment systems. Develop strategies to address regulatory challenges, including data or operational resilience.
Monitor regulatory updates, circulars, and notifications, and use Deutsche Bank s Regulatory Adherence Framework to make sure new regulations get implemented.
Drive internal education on regulatory expectations and industry best practices.
Support internal reviews and audits to ensure compliance with technology-related regulations.
Prepare and present reports to senior management and the board on regulatory updates and risks
Develop and maintain strong relationships internally, and with regulatory bodies. Potentially represent the bank in industry working groups, or regulatory forums on technology-related matters.
Your Skills and Experience
Bachelor s degree in Technology, Computer Science, Law, or a related field. Advanced degrees (e.g., MBA, LLB, or equivalent) preferred.
12 years of overall experience (relevant atleast, 5 good years are perfectly fine) in regulatory compliance, technology risk management, or a related field, preferably in Indian banking or financial services.
Strong knowledge of RBI, SEBI, and MeitY regulations related to technology in banking.
Experience in IT- and cybersecurity frameworks, enterprise data management, operational resilience, data privacy,
Proven ability to interact with regulators and manage audits/inspections.
Strong analytical and communication skills to engage with senior stakeholders and regulators.
Expertise in collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Self-starting, rolling your sleeves-up -mentality
Strategic mindset with the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments.

Partner closely with technology and business stakeholders in the development and execution of the Bank s risk framework
Promote proactive risk culture and sustainability of controls to technology stakeholders to help improve overall risk posture for the area
