Key skills for the job
Role & responsibilities:
1. Quality Control & Assurance:
Ensure incoming raw material (dry fruits, nuts, seeds) meets quality standards through proper inspection and testing.
Conduct in-process quality checks during cleaning, roasting, seasoning, and packaging.
Perform finished product quality evaluations to maintain consistency and compliance.
Monitor and maintain critical control points (CCPs) as per HACCP guidelines.
2. Regulatory Compliance & Documentation:
Maintain and update all FSSAI, ISO, HACCP, and Halal compliance records.
Ensure packaging materials comply with legal and labeling requirements.
Conduct internal audits and assist in external audits.
Handle customer complaints related to quality and ensure proper resolution.
3. Testing & Sampling:
Conduct moisture, external lab testing for raw materials and finished goods.
Manage and document sampling processes for customer approvals and internal trials.
Coordinate with third-party testing labs for necessary certifications.
4. Production & Process Improvement:
Work with the production team to maintain GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
Identify process deviations and work on corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).
Implement best practices to improve product shelf life and quality.
5. Supplier & Vendor Management:
Conduct supplier audits and evaluate their quality performance.
Ensure proper storage and handling of raw materials and packaging materials.
6. Training & Team Coordination:
Train production and packaging staff on food safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
Assist in the onboarding and guidance of new team members.
7. Packaging & Dispatch Inspection:
Ensure proper packaging material quality (no defects, correct labeling).
Conduct pre-dispatch quality checks before products leave for customers or market.
Preferred candidate profile
1. Good communication skills
2. Located within 30 minutes from the office location or ready to relocate
3. Candidate should be Food technology graduate
4. Candidate from Food and dry fruits industries will be preferred
