Role Overview:
The Senior Manager - Government Sales will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by leading government sales initiatives, identifying and developing new business opportunities, and managing the complete sales cycle from lead generation to successful contract closure.
This position is crucial in securing partnerships and contracts with government bodies, ministries, public sector units (PSUs), and healthcare agencies.
You will be responsible for developing a strong sales pipeline, aligned with Dozee's strategic growth objectives, particularly in the healthcare and medical sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Government Sales Strategy:
- Develop and execute a strategic plan to engage with key government entities such as ministries, public sector units (PSUs), and healthcare agencies, to drive sales and revenue.
Lead Identification and Generation:
- Proactively identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities within the government healthcare sector, public health programs, and government-funded medical initiatives.
Sales Cycle Management:
- Oversee the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation to contract negotiation, closing, and follow-up.
- Ensure the process is efficient and all goals are met within deadlines.
Tender Management:
- Manage the identification and response to tenders and requests for proposals (RFPs) in relation to healthcare, medical devices, and other government healthcare-related projects.
Stakeholder Relationship Management:
- Build and sustain strong relationships with decision-makers in government health departments, public hospitals, regulatory bodies, and other relevant government institutions.
Compliance and Regulatory Management:
- Ensure that all sales efforts and engagements with government stakeholders comply with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
Contract Negotiation and Closing:
- Lead the negotiation process with government buyers to secure favorable contracts, pricing, and terms, ensuring that Dozee's offerings align with the government's healthcare and procurement needs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with internal teams, including product development, regulatory, and finance, to ensure products meet government healthcare standards and pricing models.
Advocacy and Policy Influence:
- Stay informed about relevant healthcare policy changes, government healthcare initiatives, and funding opportunities.
- Influence and advocate for Dozee's solutions through these channels.
Sales Forecasting and Reporting:
- Provide accurate sales forecasting and regular reporting on sales performance, pipelines, and government sales channels to leadership.
Requirements:
Education: An MBA or a master's degree in a relevant discipline is a plus.
Experience:
- 10-12 years of experience in government sales, particularly in the medical device, healthtech, or healthcare industries.
- Proven success in closing large-scale government contracts, navigating complex sales cycles, and securing long-term partnerships within the public sector.
Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding of government procurement processes, public health policies, and regulations in the healthcare and medical device sectors.
- Familiarity with legal and compliance frameworks governing government tenders, contracts, and ethical standards.
Skills:
- Exceptional negotiation and communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in an accessible and persuasive manner.
- Ability to manage complex sales cycles from lead generation to contract signing and follow-up.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder relationship management skills.
Travel: Willingness to travel frequently to meet with government stakeholders across different regions
