Job Summary:
The Finance/Accounts & Taxation Manager will play a critical role in managing the organization's financial health by overseeing all accounting, taxation, and audit functions.
This position involves financial planning, compliance with statutory regulations, team leadership, and strategic financial decision-making.
The candidate will work closely with the senior management team to ensure financial goals are met efficiently and ethically.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Design and implement financial strategies to support organizational objectives.
- Analyze financial trends, create forecasts, and develop actionable insights for cost control and profitability.
- Oversee annual and quarterly budgeting, ensuring financial targets are met.
- Develop performance metrics to monitor and improve financial operations.
Accounting Operations:
- Supervise all accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Maintain up-to-date financial records and ensure timely preparation of financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind-AS) and Companies Act regulations.
Taxation and Compliance:
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of statutory returns, including GST, TDS, PF, PT, and Income Tax.
- Prepare and file tax returns, assessments, and documentation for regulatory audits.
- Monitor and interpret tax law changes to maintain compliance and identify potential impacts on business operations.
Audit and Risk Management:
- Coordinate with external auditors to complete audits efficiently and resolve discrepancies.
- Conduct internal financial audits to assess risk and ensure adherence to established policies.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies for financial and operational stability.
Team Leadership:
- Lead a team of finance professionals, including hiring, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
- Build team capacity by identifying training and development needs.
Compliance and Coordination:
- Collaborate with the Company Secretary to ensure timely filing of ROC/MCA-related forms and resolutions.
- Coordinate with legal advisors to address compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations.
- Manage relationships with external agencies, including tax consultants, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Provide regular financial updates and detailed reports to senior management and the Board of Directors.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure alignment between financial goals and operational strategies.
- Represent the finance department in cross-functional initiatives and projects.
Qualifications:
Education & Certification:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with years of experience in accounting, taxation, and auditing.
Experience:
- Strong background in financial reporting, compliance, and accounting processes.
- Proven experience in managing statutory filings (GST, TDS, PF, PT, etc.)
- Familiarity with accounting software such as Tally, Focus, and ERP tools.
- Experience in managing audits and liaising with external agencies.
Key Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of Indian tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong understanding of financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Proficiency in using advanced Excel features, including pivot tables, macros, and financial modeling.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
