Job Title: Key Account Manager.
Role Overview:
- The Key Account Manager (KAM) will be responsible for managing key client accounts, ensuring long term success by building strong, sustainable relationships and acting as a bridge between the clients and internal teams.
- The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of finance, excellent client-handling skills, and a strategic mindset to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, developing trusted advisor relationships with client stakeholders and executives.
- Provide financial insights and solutions to clients, helping them achieve their business objectives.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to ensure client satisfaction, retention, and growth.
- Work closely with internal teams (finance, operations, marketing, etc) to deliver customized solutions based on clients' needs.
- Address any client queries and resolve issues to ensure overall client satisfaction.
- Regularly report on account performance, client feedback, and potential areas of improvement to senior management.
- Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and drive upselling and cross-selling of products and services.
- Lead contract negotiations and renewals to ensure favorable terms for both the company and the client.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- MBA or equivalent is a plus.
- 8-10 years of total experience with at least 5+ years of experience in account management, client relationship management, or a related role, preferably with a focus on finance or financial services.
- Experience working with US, Canadian and/or UK Clients is critical.
- Strong understanding of business consulting, financial statements, investment strategies, and/or accounting.
- Proven ability to manage key client relationships, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of building rapport and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address client challenges and provide innovative solutions.
- Experience in contract negotiations and managing complex client engagements.
- Comfortable working with CRM systems, financial tools, and MS Office Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the Consulting and/or Finance sector.
- Certifications such as MBA, CA, or similar.
