Position Network Security Engineer

Mandatory - The Senior Engineer must have experience in implementing Fire Wall solutions independently.

Should have good understanding security solutions such as AV, EDR etc. in addition, understanding of security audit and ISO 27001 standards will be preferable.

Job Summary -

The Network Security Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the security, reliability, and efficiency of network infrastructure. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining security solutions to protect the organizations networks and data. The ideal candidate has a strong background in network security, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and vulnerability management, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating potential threats.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and Implement Network Security Solutions: Develop and deploy security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and network segmentation, to safeguard sensitive data and systems.
• Monitor and Respond to Security Incidents: Use SIEM tools and security platforms to continuously monitor network traffic and respond to suspicious activities, minimizing potential threats.
• Perform Vulnerability Assessments: Conduct regular network vulnerability assessments, manage remediation activities, and collaborate with other teams to address security weaknesses.
• Manage Firewall and VPN Configurations: Configure and maintain firewalls, VPNs, and access control mechanisms, ensuring secure remote access for authorized users.
• Develop and Update Security Policies: Contribute to security policy development, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices. Assist in maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Conduct Network Security Audits: Perform routine security audits to assess the effectiveness of existing network security protocols, and implement improvements as needed.
• Collaborate with IT and Security Teams: Work closely with IT, DevOps, and other security personnel to design and implement security-focused network architecture and solutions.
• Stay Updated on Emerging Threats: Keep current with new cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies, and recommend enhancements to the network security posture.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience in network security or IT security roles
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewall configurations, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems
• Proficiency with security technologies such as Firewalls, SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP and endpoint protection
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to addressing security issues

Preferred Certification:

• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
• Experience with cloud security (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Advanced certifications (e.g., CCSP, CISM, or GSEC)
• Experience with automation tools (e.g., Python, Ansible) and security orchestration
