Functional Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary voice of Malabar Group for Public Relations, embodying and conveying the brand's values, vision, and messaging across all PR activities.
- Act as a key stakeholder in developing and implementing comprehensive PR strategies for products, brand identity, and corporate communications across both National and Regional markets.
- Lead the creation and development of a forward-thinking, high-performing PR team to support the long-term growth and success of Malabar Group.
- Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with key National and Regional media outlets to maximize coverage, foster partnerships, and enhance the company's visibility and credibility.
- Oversee PR activities, including media engagements, press releases, brand campaigns, and crisis communication, ensuring all initiatives reflect and elevate the Malabar Group's brand and values.
- To plan or direct the development of programs to maintain favourable public and stakeholder's views of the organization's agenda and accomplishments.
- Act as a contact point for Malabar Group Stakeholders, Media and Public and facilitate meetings with them.
- Act as the middle person between Malabar Group and the other stakeholders to streamline operations, resolve issues, improve communications, and generally ensure that the relationship is as beneficial as possible.
- Liaise with public, government authorities on various initiatives/projects of Malabar Group.
- Develop and foster relationships with the community, stakeholders, and other Government entities.
- Collect, analyse, and utilize data and feedback to identify opportunities to improve the relationship between the business and the other entity.
- Compile reports about particular incidents, events, or updates about an important issue for the business.
- Prepare content for messages, press releases, media communications and memorandums.
- Support Media Team in handling media inquiries, arrange interviews and provide information upon request.
