Job Description :
We are seeking a skilled Application Support Engineer with 3-6 years of experience in application support.
- The ideal candidate will have expertise in Unix/Linux environments, Shell scripting, and SQL, coupled with a strong understanding of ITIL processes.
- Proficiency in monitoring tools like Kibana or Grafana is mandatory.
- This is an on-site role based in Noida, and candidates with an immediate to 15-day notice period are preferred.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide end-to-end support for business-critical applications, ensuring their optimal performance and availability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues promptly, minimizing downtime.
- Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Utilize monitoring tools like Kibana and Grafana to track application performance and identify anomalies.
- Respond to system alerts, prioritize incidents, and escalate issues as required.
- Implement proactive monitoring and alerts to mitigate potential risks.
- Perform administrative tasks in Unix/Linux environments, including system health checks and configuration changes.
- Develop and maintain Shell scripts to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Write and optimize SQL queries for data analysis and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with database teams to resolve application-related database issues.
- Follow ITIL processes for incident management, problem management, change management, and service requests.
- Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, resolutions, and changes in the ticketing system.
- Work closely with development, infrastructure, and business teams to address application-related issues.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates on issue resolution and system status.
Experience :
- 3+ years in application support.
- Proficient in Unix/Linux environments and Shell scripting.
- Strong knowledge of SQL for troubleshooting and analysis.
- Hands-on experience with Kibana or Grafana for monitoring.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes for incident and problem management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with effective communication abilities.
