DCS Engineer

1. Financial Develop plant asset strategies for DCS equipment, based upon safety and commercial risk assessment for aspects like routine inspections, maintenance, outages and critical spares management Define budgetary requirements for the plant DCS controls in line with plant cost optimization strategies devised by the Unit Heads Develop process control strategies, write functional and detailed design specifications

2. Liaising Engage and assist appropriate specialist engineering support, internal and external to ensure effective control of plants automated operations with zero disruption Coordinate to provide technical support on a daily basis to the maintenance team for fault diagnosis, rectification and improvement Coordinate and support other functional heads to ensure re-commissioning of activities and return to service of units post outage

3. Operations Ensure effective development of the DCS engineering discipline throughout the plants and wider business Ensure competence levels are maintained in line with DCS access accreditation and ensure any deficiencies are identified and addressed through development plans Engineer, implement and commission plant improvements that require modification of the DCS system, its code or process parameters; including owning and contributing to relevant scheme papers Set the engineering standards to ensure plant compliance with statutory and mandatory requirements in areas of Process Safety for DCS and process control issues, corporate procedures Contribute to the development and implementation of the DCS Management Process based on the aspects of System Administration, Access control and security, System backup and disaster recovery, Change control, Cyber security and Alarm Management

4. Self/ Team Development Review and monitor performance of team members and provide requisite developmental support/ inputs Recommend training as required for teams development Develop the team and update their knowledge base to cater the organization need Strategize avenues for enhancing employee satisfaction in the function, resulting in high engagement levels of employees
