BIM Modeler - MEP

Data Centre design experience is essential, as is a willingness to travel within India and potentially abroad.

This is an opportunity to be a part of an established and expanding office in Mumbai undertaking first-class projects. Deerns is a company that was founded 95+ years ago. We specialize in Mechanical, Electrical and Piping (MEP) advisory, design and engineering particularly for mission critical and high-tech building systems and industrial facilities. Our team in Mumbai is looking for BIM Modeler/Coordinator/Manager for Data Centers to lead our design and engineering teams and to drive the growth of our business in India.

1. Generate complete Mechanical, or Plumbing drawings/plans in Revit with minimal Engineer supervision for use in project.

- Utility Generation & Distribution P&IDs

- Piping Layout drawings

- Isometric drawingsElectrical:- Cable Tray layouts, Lighting layout, Power Socket lay out, SLD, Earthing layout, Fire Alarm, Data, Access ControlInstrumentation:- Cable Tray Layouts, Hook-up Drawings, Instrument location layout, JB Location layout, System architecture- Air Flow Diagrams- Reflected ceiling plan- Ducting Layout

2. Generate complete Combined Services Drawing

3. Ensure all drawings and records are updated, controlled and in placed throughout duration of project.

4. Works with our clients during pre-construction phase to build the 3D models, 2D Shop Drawings, As Built and Submittal drawings.

5. Calculate/design pipe sizing/pipe routing

6. Coordinate and work closely with other engineers and draftspersons.

7. Provide regular status updates to Superiors/Principal

8. Continuously undertake to improve and update technical skills through self-study and/or formal course work.

9. Assist in the general day-to-day operational activities and perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

REQUIREMENTS -

1. Diploma / ITI in Mechanical engineering

2. Min. 2-3 years related working experience as BIM (Revit).

4. Effective written and verbal communication skills in English Language. Able to communicate other office colleagues globally.

5. Able to use BIM (Revit), AutoCAD, Naviswork, BIM360 and other related software.

6. Must have knowledge of identifying and solving clashes.

7. Able to carry out drafting work. Those with design experience will be an advantage

8. Must be self-initiative, discipline, punctual and hardworking.

9. Willing to work beyond regular hours when necessary, to meet deadlines and/or when requested
