Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Technical Support Engineer to join our team. As a Technical Support Engineer, you will provide technical assistance and resolve issues related to Windows and Linux operating systems, working closely with customers and cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to customers via phone, email, chat, etc. related to Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on Windows and Linux platforms.
- Assist customers with software installations, configurations, and upgrades.
- Document customer issues, inquiries, and resolutions accurately.
- Collaborate with internal teams to escalate and resolve complex technical problems.
- Continuously expand knowledge and expertise in Windows and Linux systems.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and FAQs.
- Provide training and guidance to customers on Windows and Linux best practices and troubleshooting techniques.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Solid experience in providing technical support for Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware and software issues on Windows and Linux platforms.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, including installation, configuration, and administration.
- Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities effectively.
- Relevant certifications (MCSE, RHCE) are a plus.
