System Engineer - IT Infrastructure

We are seeking an experienced System Engineer IT Infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in VMWare, Nutanix, AD, Storage , Backup technologies,Security supporting in troubleshooting, and managing day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities:

* Provide L1/L2 technical support for the VMWare, Nutanix environment, addressing incidents and service requests promptly.

* Operational Support for VMware, Nutanix HCI Environment, including creating, configuring, and managing virtual servers.

* Collaborate with IT teams, including network engineers, support technicians, and cybersecurity specialists, to ensure smooth provisioning of new VMs and seamless server operations.

* Ensure high availability and performance of servers, monitoring systems, and addressing any issues that impact server uptime.

* Prepare and maintain monthly reports on server and system performance, covering uptime, incidents, resolutions, and resource usage.

* Apply security updates and patches regularly to maintain the integrity of the operating systems and virtualization platforms.

* Ensure data integrity and security through regular audits, implementing security policies, and verifying that backups are performed according to the client's procedures.

* Maintain and manage Veeam Backup Software for efficient backup and disaster recovery (DR) replication.

* Provide technical support to the Helpdesk Team for resolving server-level issues and escalating complex problems when needed.

* Address and resolve vulnerabilities identified by the Cyber Security Team, ensuring compliance with security protocols.

* Maintain up-to-date documentation of server configurations, changes, and the HCI environment for reference and audit purposes.

* Participate in on-call support, being available on weekends and holidays to handle critical tickets, perform maintenance, and support upgrades as necessary.

* Assist in capacity planning and resource allocation to ensure optimal performance of the Nutanix infrastructure.

* Engage in knowledge sharing sessions with the client's IT team to foster a collaborative work environment and ensure continuity of support.

Requirements:

* 5+ years of experience with Nutanix technologies (AHV, AOS, Prism,VMware etc.).

* Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies and HCI infrastructure.

* Proven track record in troubleshooting and problem-solving.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Strong communication skills to effectively interact with the client and internal teams.

* Familiarity with backup solutions (Veeam and backup storage) and cybersecurity best practices.
