VB6 Developer (5-7 yrs)

Job Description :

Key Responsibilities :

- Analyze, design, develop, and maintain existing VB6 applications.

- Troubleshoot and debug complex issues within the VB6 environment.

- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

- Participate in the design and development of migration strategies for transitioning from VB6 to newer technologies (.NET, Java).

- Collaborate with other developers, testers, and business analysts to ensure successful project delivery.

- Stay updated on the latest technologies and industry trends.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 5+ years of hands-on experience in developing and maintaining VB6 applications.

- Strong understanding of VB6 programming concepts, including object-oriented programming principles.

- Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle).

- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desired Skills :

- Experience with other programming languages such as .NET (C#, VB.NET), Java.

- Knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).

- Experience with version control systems (Git, SVN).

- Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure)
