Job Description

We seek a Senior Data Scientist to drive AI/ML initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop AI-powered solutions. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and optimizing ML models for predictive analytics and image processing, working with large agricultural datasets such as satellite and drone data, and deploying models into production while ensuring scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, fine-tune, and deploy Large Language Models (LLM) for various AgriTech applications.

Research and implement Generative AI techniques for predictive modeling, text summarization, and automation.
Build and optimize deep learning models for natural language processing (NLP) tasks such as text classification, sentiment analysis, and chatbot development.
Work with structured and unstructured agricultural datasets , including satellite and drone imagery, to extract meaningful insights and improve model accuracy.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software engineers, agronomists, and business analysts to integrate AI models into production systems.
Ensure scalability, reliability, and efficiency of AI-driven solutions.
Stay updated on the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and NLP and apply them to FarmwiseAI s initiatives.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior data scientists.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in Data Science, AI/ML, or NLP.
Master s or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field .
Strong proficiency in Python , with experience in ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face.
Hands-on experience with LLMs like GPT, BERT, T5, or custom transformer models.
Expertise in Generative AI techniques , including text generation, style transfer, and prompt engineering.
Experience working with geospatial data and GIS technologies (a plus).
Strong knowledge of NLP pipelines , tokenization, attention mechanisms, and transformer-based architectures.
Familiarity with vector databases (FAISS, Pinecone, ChromaDB) and embedding models .
Experience in deploying AI models on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Proficiency in MLOps, CI/CD pipelines, and API integrations .
Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
