Quality Assurance Engineer - Selenium/Appium (6-10 yrs)

About the Job :

We are looking for a skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of software applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to test, identify, and resolve issues within software products before release. Your main goal will be to deliver high-quality software that meets user needs and business requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities :

- Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business requirements and technical specifications.

- Execute manual and automated tests to ensure the functionality, performance, security, and usability of the application.

- Conduct regression testing to verify that new code changes have not affected existing functionality.

- Collaborate with development teams to understand application features, functionality, and technical specifications.

- Work with product managers to validate product requirements and business logic through testing.

- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospective meetings as part of the agile development process.

- Identify, document, and report defects in an organized manner, and provide clear, concise descriptions of bugs.

- Use bug tracking tools (i.e. JIRA, Bugzilla, Trello) to manage test cases, track bugs, and ensure timely resolution.

- Prioritize and work closely with developers to resolve issues and retest fixed defects.

- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Appium, or JUnit to increase testing efficiency and coverage.

- Set up and maintain continuous integration (CI) systems to run automated tests on every code change.

Technical Skills & Qualifications :

- Experience with test automation tools like Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, or Cypress.

- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI for integrating automated tests.

- Experience with bug tracking tools (i.e., JIRA, Bugzilla, Trello).

- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, JavaScript, Ruby, or Java to develop automated test scripts.

- Experience in SQL for querying databases and validating backend data.

- Strong ability to write clear, detailed, and effective test plans, test cases, and test scripts.

- Ability to document defects with clear steps to reproduce, screenshots, logs, and expected outcomes.

- Familiar with API testing tools like Postman, SoapUI, or RestAssured.

- Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.

- Understanding of version control tools such as Git for managing code and test cases
