Diagnostics of potatoseed and soil borne diseases such as (scab, wart, PCN, Ralstonia and viruses)using ELISA, PCR, LAMP assay, microscopy and morphological diagnostic methods.
Develop and implementplant diagnostic or prevention programs and plans, conduct, analyze,
interpret and trouble shoot diagnostic results.
Provide information onintegrated approaches to monitoring, managing and controlling root and
tuber crops pests/disease.
Prepare inventory listand list reagents for procurement.
Provide advice andrecommendations on all safety aspects for transport, handling, storage, usage
and disposal ofpesticides / fungicides / nematicides

Selection Criteria
MSc in Plant Pathology (PhD preferred but not required).
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in working in molecular laboratory.
Proven experience in project coordination and stakeholder engagement.
Ability to work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary and cross-cultural teams.
Willingness to travel and work in rural, resource-limited areas.
