Manager - Software Testing (5-10 yrs)

Job Description :

Responsibilities :

1. Define and implement end-to-end testing strategies, including manual and automation testing, tailored to banking and fintech products.

2. Build, optimize, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using tools like Selenium, Cypress, Katalon, and AI-based solutions.

3. Lead a team of QA engineers, providing mentorship and technical direction to improve testing practices.

4. Manage test lifecycle activities, including test strategy preparation, resource allocation, test execution, defect triaging, and reporting.

5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess risks, understand release management, and address environmental impacts.

6. Design and execute performance testing using tools like Load Runner and JMeter, and API testing with tools such as Postman.

7. Conduct data migration testing and ensure compatibility across key banking interfaces and channels.

8. Define quality metrics, monitor performance, and provide regular insights to stakeholders.

9. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for integrating automated testing processes.

10. Drive continuous improvement by exploring emerging QA tools, trends, and technologies, including AI and cloud-based solutions.

11. Perform root cause analysis of defects and ensure resolutions align with business objectives.

12. Collaborate with clients to identify technical requirements and recommend automation solutions.

13. Ensure security compliance by integrating static code analysis and security testing principles.

14. Stay updated on industry trends, creating proof of concepts (POCs) to address evolving QA challenges.

15. Support recruitment efforts, upskill team members, and foster a culture of quality and innovation.

Technical Skills :

- Expertise in functional, UI, backend testing.

- Proficiency in automation tools such as Selenium and TestNG.

- Strong knowledge of performance testing (LoadRunner, JMeter) and API testing (Postman, JMeter).

- Experience with programming languages: Java, Python, or C#.

- Familiarity with BDD/TDD principles, CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI), and cloud-based testing environments.

- Hands-on experience in security testing tools and static code analysis.

- Deep understanding of banking domain processes and fintech product testing.
