The Opportunity:

Database Administrator is responsible for managing the maintenance and security of the databases. The person will be working closely with our Software Development teams, System Owners and Business Owners to ensure that database solutions are optimized for performance, backed up appropriately, updated regularly and meet compliance objectives.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Configure and maintain mission critical production database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security. The databases will be in Azure SQL instance so should have deep knowledge of that .
Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
Review all existing DB maintenance plans(or the lack of it) and update accordingly (like FB fragmentation, and optimum indexes among others)
On-call support for Sev-1 issues related to databases
Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.
You should be able to operate fully independent in terms of the DB and DBA tasks
