Ansible Automation Developer - VMware (5-8 yrs)

Job Description :

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain automation playbooks, roles, and tasks using Ansible for VMware and cloud-based environments.

- Automate infrastructure provisioning and management in VMware environments, ensuring seamless configuration, deployment, and monitoring.

- Design and implement solutions for VMware automation using Ansible modules and custom scripts.

- Integrate Django applications with automation systems and tools to streamline deployment workflows.

- Collaborate with DevOps, infrastructure, and software development teams to ensure smooth deployment and integration of applications and services.

- Leverage Python for scripting and creating custom Ansible modules to handle unique automation tasks.

- Write and maintain clear, effective, and efficient code for automation tasks and scripts.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Ansible automation, VMware environments, and other integrated systems.

- Maintain version control for automation scripts using Git or similar tools.

- Document automation solutions, scripts, and processes to ensure smooth knowledge transfer.

- Stay updated on the latest industry trends, best practices, and technologies for automation and infrastructure management.

- Participate in peer reviews and work in an agile development environment to deliver high-quality solutions on time.

Preferred Skills :

- Certifications related to VMware (VCP, VCAP, etc.) and/or Ansible (Red Hat Certified Specialist).

- Experience with container orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration with automation tools.

- Knowledge of security practices in automation and infrastructure management.
