An application operations engineer supports, manages and maintains all the applications
Key Responsibilities :
Asset and configuration management: the scope is conduct life cycle management for assets including hardware, software, intellectual property, licences and warranties.
Availability and capacity management: the scope is to define, analyse, plan, forecast, measure, maintain and improve all aspects of the availability of services, including power.
Change management: management of service changes, configuration items, organisational change, supplier change and associated documentation. It is necessary to manage request changes in response to incidents or problems that provide effective control and reduction of risk to security performance and availability.
Ensure that systems meet business and customer needs for reliability and availability
Monitor and manage application performance and service quality, including initial troubleshooting, identification of root cases and issue resolution
Incident management: co-ordinate the response to incident reports, ensuring relevant prioritisation and detail to allow effective investigation.
Problem management: understanding and identifying problems, analysing and helping to identify the appropriate solution.
Problem management. Investigations of problems in systems, processes and services, with an understanding of the level of a problem.
