The Role : Networking L2 Engineer.

Location : Bangalore.

Key Responsibilities :

- Manage the company's IT infrastructure, including O365, JumpCloud, VMware Infra, networks (WLAN/LAN/WAN), storage, and communication systems.

- Configure and manage Layer 2 network devices, including switches, Firewall, and access points.

- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.

- Implement network security measures as per the security and Compliance.

- Collaborate with management for network architects to design and enhance network topology.

- Assist in the deployment of network upgrades and new technologies.

- Provide technical support and training to junior staff and end-users.

- Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations and changes.

- Participate in on-call rotation for network issues.

- Provide second-level technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.

- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents escalated from Level 1 support.

- Manage and prioritize incoming support requests via phone, email, or ticketing system.

- Ensure timely resolution and communication with users.

- Conduct in-depth analysis of recurring issues, identifying root causes and implementing solutions to prevent future occurrences.

- Work closely with IT teams, such as Level 3 support and system administrators, to facilitate complex problem resolution.

- Assist in training Level 1 support staff and provide guidance to end-users on best practices and troubleshooting steps.

- Monitor system performance and security, ensuring compliance with IT policies and standards.

Qualifications : .

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

- 5+ years of experience in CorpIT management and Networking or a similar role, with a proven track.

- Proven experience in Layer 2 networking (i,e., Ethernet, VLANs, Spanning Tree Protocol).

- Familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.

- Understanding of network security principles and best practices.

- Relevant certifications (i.e., CCNA, JNCIA) are a plus.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

- Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and common software applications.

- Experience with network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and familiarity with networking hardware.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-oriented attitude.
