Pega Tester (Healthcare Data Management Solutions)

Role Overview :

As a Pega Tester with expertise in healthcare data management solutions, you will be responsible for testing and validating Pega Customer Decision Hub (CDH) implementations. Your role will involve ensuring the quality and performance of decisioning frameworks and workflows designed for clinical data management. You will work closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to validate that all clinical workflows and integrations meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Test Strategy and Planning :

- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand clinical data workflows, decisioning strategies, and project requirements.

- Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and scenarios for Pega CDH solutions, including decision strategies, Next-Best-Action (NBA) frameworks, and engagement policies.

- Define test coverage to ensure functional, integration, regression, and performance testing needs are met.

2. Test Execution :

- Execute manual and automated test cases for Pega CDH components, such as decision tables, data flows, and workflows.

- Test integrations with external systems like Electronic Health Records (EHR), Clinical Trial Management Systems (CTMS), and APIs (e.g., FHIR, HL7).

- Validate decisioning logic for clinical workflows, including patient eligibility, risk assessment, and treatment prioritization.

3. Defect Management :

- Identify, document, and prioritize defects using tools like JIRA, Rally, or ALM.

- Work with developers to reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.

- Verify fixes and ensure compliance with quality and healthcare standards.

4. Automation Testing :

- Create and maintain automated test scripts using Pega Unit Testing, Selenium, or other automation frameworks.

- Automate regression test cases to streamline testing cycles and improve coverage.

5. Performance and Compliance Testing :

- Perform performance testing to ensure decisioning solutions meet SLA requirements for latency, throughput, and scalability.

- Test for compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, GDPR, and FDA guidelines.

6. Reporting and Collaboration :

- Generate test execution reports and defect metrics to communicate testing progress and quality status.

- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

- Work closely with clinical and IT teams to address testing challenges and ensure alignment with project objectives.

Qualifications and Skills :

Technical Skills :

- Experience with testing Pega CDH components, including decision strategies, workflows, and data flows.

- Knowledge of healthcare data standards like FHIR and HL7 is a plus.

- Familiarity with testing tools such as Pega Unit Testing, Selenium, or Postman for API testing.

- Strong understanding of integration testing for REST APIs and data pipelines.

- Exposure to performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner is advantageous.

Certifications :

- Pega Certified System Architect (CSA) or Pega Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) is a plus.

- Testing certifications such as ISTQB Foundation Level or higher are desirable.

Soft Skills :

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication skills for working with cross-functional teams.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced Agile environment and manage multiple priorities.

Experience :

- 3-6 years of experience in testing Pega applications, with at least 1 year of experience in Pega CDH testing.

- Experience in healthcare or regulated industries is highly desirable.

- Proven track record of testing decisioning frameworks, data integrations, and performance metrics.

Additional Considerations :

- Exposure to Agile development methodologies and tools like JIRA or Confluence.

- Knowledge of healthcare workflows and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).

- Familiarity with cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.
