SQL Developer - Database Design & Implementation (3-6 yrs)

We are seeking an experienced SQL Developer with 3-6 years of expertise to design, implement, and optimize database solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in SQL development, query optimization, and database design. This role will focus on writing complex queries, creating stored procedures, and ensuring the performance, integrity, and security of databases for enterprise-level applications.

Key Responsibilities :

Database Development :

- Design, develop, and maintain SQL databases to support application requirements.

- Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, functions, and views for data extraction and manipulation.

- Develop and optimize database structures to meet performance and business requirements.

Query Optimization :

- Troubleshoot and fine-tune SQL queries for optimal performance and scalability.

- Analyze query execution plans and resolve performance bottlenecks.

Data Management :

- Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security across databases.

- Perform data migrations, transformations, and ETL processes as needed.

Collaboration :

- Work closely with application developers, project managers, and business analysts to understand database requirements.

- Assist in creating and maintaining documentation, including data flow diagrams, ER diagrams, and technical specifications.

Testing and Maintenance :

- Support database testing, including unit testing and integration testing, to ensure high-quality deliverables.

- Monitor database health and resolve production issues in a timely manner.

Technical Skills and Qualifications :

Core Skills :

- Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and working with stored procedures, triggers, and functions.

- Strong experience with RDBMS like SQL Server, MySQL, or Oracle.

- Hands-on experience with query optimization and performance tuning.

- Experience in database design, normalization, and indexing strategies.

Tools and Technologies :

- Knowledge of ETL tools and processes for data transformations.

- Familiarity with database tools like SSMS (SQL Server Management Studio) or equivalent.

- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) is a plus.

Additional Skills :

- Understanding of database security principles and backup/restore strategies.

- Familiarity with reporting tools like Power BI, SSRS, or Tableau is an advantage.
