Role Overview :

We are looking for a Senior ETL QA Engineer with 8-12 years of experience to validate data pipelines and ETL processes in a banking domain environment. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in ETL testing, SQL (advanced queries), Snowflake, and Python scripting. This role requires an in-depth understanding of data warehousing (DWH), data transformation, and banking-specific data validation.

Responsibilities :

- Develop and execute ETL test strategies, test plans, and test cases to validate data pipelines, transformations, and DWH solutions.

- Perform data validation testing by comparing source and target data using advanced SQL queries.

- Validate data integrity, data consistency, and data completeness across multiple environments.

- Conduct performance testing of ETL processes to ensure optimized data loading and transformation.

- Implement Python-based automation scripts for ETL testing and validation.

- Work with Snowflake and other cloud-based DWH platforms to validate data ingestion and processing.

- Collaborate with data engineers, business analysts, and developers to resolve data quality issues.

- Ensure compliance with banking regulations, data governance, and security policies.

- Perform root cause analysis for data discrepancies and recommend solutions.

- Maintain test documentation, test reports, and defect tracking in tools like JIRA.

- Work in an Agile/Scrum environment to ensure seamless QA integration in CI/CD pipelines.

Required Skills :

- ETL Testing : Strong hands-on experience with data validation, transformation testing, and data integrity checks

- SQL (Advanced) : Writing complex queries, performance tuning, joins, stored procedures

- Snowflake : Testing data pipelines and validating data in cloud-based DWH

- Python Scripting : Developing automation scripts for data validation and ETL testing

- Data Warehousing (DWH) : Good understanding of ETL concepts, fact/dimension modeling, and DWH architecture

- Banking Domain Expertise : Experience in retail banking, risk management, regulatory reporting, or payments

- Defect Management & Reporting : Hands-on experience with JIRA, HP ALM, or similar tools

- Cloud Platforms : Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP for data storage and processing
