Role requirements:.
Create, edit, and publish technical documentation, including product data sheets, technical notes, customer service notes, user guides, etc..
Edit content for style, grammar, format, punctuation, accuracy, consistency, organization, audience, and legal standards..
Understand XML (DITA) and single-sourcing concepts (central repository, systematic reuse, multiple deliverables) and adhere to best practices that take those into account..
Maintain overall content quality control..
Promote alignment within the writing team to ensure projects are consistent and adhere to style and our teams standards and processes..
Manage assigned projects, including maintaining project schedules; coordinating documentation reviews; collaborating with subject matter experts and ensuring timely project completion..
Collaborate, negotiate, talk through, and/or workshop edits with writers and engineering to ensure documentation is accurate and consistent..
Ability to use Illustrator elements to assist in technical illustrations updates, extensive edits, etc..
Tool Requirements Working Knowledge Of The Following.
XML editors Adobe Frame Maker and Oxygen.
Adobe Illustrator.
XML (DITA).
Adobe Experience Manager/Guides (AEM).
Single-sourcing concepts.
Other Requirements.
Strong command of the English language and proper use of grammar and punctuation..
Excellent writing and editing skills..
