Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery: Perform a variety of surgeries related to the mouth, teeth, jaws, and face. Common procedures include tooth extractions (including impacted teeth), dental implants, corrective jaw surgeries, cleft palate repair, facial trauma surgery, and biopsy of oral lesions.
Preoperative Care: Evaluate patients before surgery, review medical histories, conduct physical examinations, and order necessary diagnostic tests (e.g., X-rays, CT scans) to plan surgical procedures.
Postoperative Care: Manage patients post-surgery, monitor recovery, and provide follow-up care, including wound care, pain management, and addressing complications.
Emergency Surgery: Respond to emergency cases such as facial trauma, infections, or other urgent surgical needs, often outside of standard operating hours, depending on the rotational schedule.
