Job Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and results-driven Product Sales Specialist / Software Sales Specialist / Marketing Software Specialist to join our rapidly expanding sales team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about selling innovative software products and solutions. As a Software Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, building strong customer relationships, and helping clients find software solutions that meet their business needs.
You will work closely with other team members and departments to ensure the success of sales strategies and contribute to achieving business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Generation:
Identify and generate new business opportunities through various channels (outbound prospecting, inbound inquiries, networking, etc.).
Conduct thorough needs analysis with potential clients to understand their requirements and recommend tailored software solutions.
Present and demonstrate software products to prospective clients, highlighting features and benefits to match their needs.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with customers to successfully close deals.
Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain long-lasting relationships with clients, ensuring a smooth sales process and transition to implementation teams.
Act as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the sales cycle and post-sale.
Work with customer success and support teams to ensure high customer satisfaction and long-term retention.
Market and Product Knowledge:
Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and the companys software products and features.
Develop a deep understanding of the company’s software solutions and how they can address customer needs.
Provide feedback to the product development team regarding market demands and customer insights.
Sales Reporting and Forecasting:
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline, and client interactions using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce).
Submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and updates to the management team.
Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Collaboration and Teamwork:
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, product development, and customer support.
Share leads, best practices, and sales strategies with fellow team members.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
Qualifications:
Education:
A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
1+ years of experience in software sales or a related field.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets in a B2B environment.
Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and sales reporting tools.
Skills:
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
In-depth understanding of software solutions and their applicability to customer needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience selling enterprise-level software solutions.
Familiarity with SaaS (Software as a Service) or cloud-based products.
Knowledge of specific industries such as finance, healthcare, or technology.
