As an EXIM (Export-Import) Officer, youll have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in International trade operations, documentation, and compliance. Your role will involve supporting the EXIM team in various tasks related to export and import activities, assisting with documentation, and learning about trade regulations and procedures.
Job Responsibilities:
Documentation Assistance: Assist in preparing and processing export and import documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bill of lading, certificates of origin, customs declarations, and import licenses.
Data Entry and Recordkeeping: Support the EXIM team in data entry tasks, maintaining accurate records of shipments, documentation, and compliance-related information using spreadsheets or trade management software.
Research and Analysis: Conduct research and analysis on trade regulations, tariffs, duties, and trade agreements to support decision-making and compliance efforts. Stay updated on changes in trade policies and procedures.
Logistics Coordination: Assist in coordinating logistics and transportation arrangements for shipments, liaising with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, and other logistics providers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
Compliance Support: Learn about customs regulations, export controls, and trade compliance requirements, and assist in ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and trade agreements governing international trade.
Communication and Correspondence: Provide support in communicating with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, customs authorities, and logistics partners, regarding shipment status, documentation requirements, and compliance issues.
Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the EXIM team, including organizing files, maintaining document libraries, and assisting with other ad hoc tasks as needed.
