Job Description
- Scheduling and Rostering:Develop and maintain crew schedules, taking into consideration factors such as work hours, rest periods, and regulatory requirements
- Ensure that the assigned crew members have the necessary qualifications, certifications, and training for their roles
- Crew Deployment:Coordinate the timely deployment and relief of crew members to various locations, ensuring that they meet operational requirements
- Handle last-minute changes or emergencies that may affect crew deployment and make adjustments to schedules as needed
- Compliance and Regulations:Stay informed about relevant industry regulations, labor laws, and company policies related to crew scheduling and deployment
- Ensure that all scheduling practices comply with regulatory requirements and contractual agreements
- Communication:Maintain effective communication with crew members, providing them with clear information about their schedules, assignments, and any changes
- Liaise with other departments, such as operations, maintenance, and human resources, to coordinate crew activities
- Problem Solving:Address and resolve scheduling conflicts, unexpected absences, and other issues that may impact crew availability or deployment
- Develop contingency plans to handle disruptions in the crew schedule
- Data Management:Maintain accurate records of crew members' work hours, rest periods, certifications, and other relevant information
- Use scheduling software or systems to track and manage crew schedules efficiently
- Continuous Improvement:Analyze crew scheduling processes and identify opportunities for improvement in terms of efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance
- Implement changes to enhance the overall effectiveness of crewing operations
- Emergency Response:Develop and implement emergency response plans to address unexpected disruptions, such as weather-related issues, technical problems, or other crises that may affect crew operations
- Training and Development:Facilitate training programs for crew members, focusing on skills development, safety protocols, and compliance with industry standards
