ClarityTTS - Automation Testing Manager - Java/TestNG (3-5 yrs)

Role Overview :

The Automation Testing Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of ClarityTTS's software products.

This full-time, on-site role in Chennai requires a dynamic leader to manage a team of automation testers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

The successful candidate will design and implement robust testing frameworks, establish best practices, and drive innovation in automation testing processes.

Key Responsibilities :

Leadership & Management :

- Lead and manage a team of automation testers to deliver high-quality results within deadlines.

- Mentor team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

- Collaborate with project managers, developers, and business stakeholders to define testing strategies.

Test Automation Strategy & Implementation :

- Develop, implement, and maintain test automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Appium, and other industry-standard solutions.

- Design and execute API automation scripts leveraging Java, TestNG, and related technologies.

- Ensure comprehensive test coverage and early detection of defects in the development lifecycle.

Quality Assurance Processes :

- Define, monitor, and enforce quality assurance standards, processes, and best practices.

- Oversee the creation of detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.

- Implement defect tracking and management systems, ensuring swift resolution.

Agile Methodology Integration :

- Work closely with Agile development teams to integrate automated testing into the continuous integration and delivery pipelines.

- Participate in Agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning and retrospectives, to align testing efforts with development goals.

Risk Identification & Mitigation :

- Identify potential risks and dependencies in projects and devise mitigation plans.

- Drive initiatives to improve testing efficiency and reduce time-to-market.

Required Qualifications & Skills :

Education :

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience :

- Minimum of 3 years in automation testing and at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.

- Hands-on experience in developing and implementing test automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Appium, or other equivalent tools.

- Proven expertise in API automation, Java, TestNG, and related technologies.

- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Technical Skills :

- In-depth knowledge of software testing methodologies and defect management tools.

- Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and tools like Jenkins or similar.

- Familiarity with performance testing and security testing tools is a plus.

Soft Skills :

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
