Roles Responsibilities
- Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
- Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
- Arrange business meetings with prospective clients
- Promote the company s products/services addressing or predicting clients objectives
- Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines
- Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices, etc.
- Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
- Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
- Develop entry-level staff into valuable salespeople
- Builds market position by locating, developing, defining, and closing business relationships.
- Identifies trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements.
- Tracks individual contributors and their accomplishments.
- Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners.
- Discovers and explores business opportunities.
- Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, and financials.
- Evaluates options and resolves internal priorities.
- A proven track record in strong presentation skills is essential in the role of a Business Developer.
- Business Developers need a strong track record of business-to-business sales at a corporate level.
- A Business Developer will need to have strong research and strategic analysis skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to cold call potential clients with confidence are key for a successful business developer.
- Business Developers need to be skilled at agreeing and closing deals with clients.
- Excellent organizational skills are essential as well as performance monitoring will be a requirement.
- Must be able to operate Microsoft Office and associated programs.
- Bachelor s degree in a related field of study
- Ability to adequately demonstrate working experience acquired from similar positions
- Excellent skills in logistics management and information and computer technology
- Strong creative ability
- Ability to carry out research relating to the organization and collate the information derived from such research towards improving the organization s business status
- Excellent attention to details and strong ability to produce high-quality reports and presentations
