Factory Maintenance & Engineering Manager

We are seeking a Factory Maintenance & Engineering Manager to oversee all mechanical and electrical operations in our plastic recycling factory. This role is responsible for ensuring all machines run efficiently, leading a team of technicians, and executing preventive maintenance plans. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, hands-on experience in troubleshooting and repairs, and the ability to manage projects and spare parts planning.

Note:

This is an international position, you will be required to move to Jakarta, Indonesia

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage Operations: Oversee and ensure the smooth operation of all mechanical and electrical systems in the factory.

2. Machine Condition & Uptime: Ensure that all machines are in optimal working condition, minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency.

3. Team Leadership & Training: Lead, manage, and train a team of 4 mechanical and 3 electrical technicians, ensuring they are well-equipped to handle maintenance and troubleshooting.

4. Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose machine problems, provide technical guidance, and assist in hands-on repairs when necessary.

5. Spare Parts Planning: Maintain and manage spare parts inventory, ensuring the availability of critical components while controlling costs.

6. Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to reduce breakdowns and improve machine reliability.

7. Project Planning & Execution: Lead and execute engineering projects related to machine upgrades, process improvements, and efficiency enhancements.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience in factory maintenance, preferably in the plastic recycling or manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems used in industrial machinery.
• Experience in troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance scheduling for production equipment.
• Proven ability to lead and train a team of technicians.
• Familiarity with spare parts inventory management and procurement planning.
• Experience in preventative maintenance planning and execution.
• Ability to lead projects related to machine improvements and factory upgrades.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Additional Skills (Preferred):

• Experience working with Chinese machinery and overcoming reliability challenges.
• Knowledge of PLC systems and automation is a plus.
• Ability to analyze machine failures and implement corrective actions.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
