Key Responsibilities
Sourcing and Supplier Management: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, establish and maintain positive relationships, and manage supplier performance to ensure on-time delivery of quality products/services.
Negotiation and Purchasing: Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to achieve cost-effective purchasing while meeting quality standards.
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels to ensure appropriate stock is maintained and order materials in a timely manner to avoid production delays or shortages.
Market Analysis: Stay up-to-date with market trends, industry changes, and competitor activities to identify cost-saving opportunities and improvements.
Purchase Order Management: Prepare and issue purchase orders, track order progress, and resolve any issues related to order discrepancies or delivery delays.
Budgeting and Cost Control: Assist in the development and management of procurement budgets, ensuring spending stays within allocated limits and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements. Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records and reports.
Proven experience in inventory management or a similar role.
