Overview:

The Head of Artificial Intelligence will lead the university's AI initiatives, driving innovative research and educational programs in artificial intelligence. This position requires a visionary leader who can foster collaboration across disciplines, engage with industry partners, and promote responsible AI practices. We are looking to build an AI integrated campus in Lucknow with all the courses to be AI-integrated.

Key Responsibilities:

- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive AI strategy that aligns with the university's mission and academic goals.

- Research Oversight: Lead and support AI research projects, encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration and securing funding through grants and partnerships.

- Curriculum Development: Oversee the design and implementation of AI-related courses and programs, ensuring they meet industry standards and educational best practices.

- Faculty Development: Mentor and support faculty in AI research and pedagogy, facilitating professional development and collaboration.

- Community Engagement: Foster relationships with industry, government, and other academic institutions to promote AI research and applications.

- Ethics and Governance: Advocate for ethical AI practices and contribute to policy development regarding AI use within the university and beyond.

- Resource Management: Oversee budget allocation for AI initiatives, ensuring effective use of resources.

- Outreach and Promotion: Represent the university at conferences, workshops, and public engagements, promoting its AI programs and achievements.

Requirements:

- Education: Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.

- Experience: Minimum of 17 years of leadership experience in academia or industry, with a focus on AI research and education.

- Research Record: Proven track record of impactful research in AI, including publications in reputable journals and conference presentations.

- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse stakeholders.
