Job Description
- Looking after the boys hostel
- Taking care of students in their allotted blocks.
- Mediating between student disputes about noise, unacceptable behavior etc., to the authority, thus ensuring good order and behavior is maintained in the Hostel.
- Available for on call - duty whenever required, which provides emergency cover in the evenings and weekends.
- Assisting the Wardens and site staff with the admission of new students.
- Establishing and maintaining appropriate social contact with students.
- Providing relevant information about the students whenever it is required.
- Responding to on-site emergencies during out of hours (burst pipes, broken windows, burglaries, locked out of rooms etc.)
- Maintaining accurate records and writing reports to help to identify trends that may require action.
- Ability to listen to and establish a rapport with students.
- Ability to manage time effectively.
- Retired army officers can aaply.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, Word & Powerpoint.
- Email writing.

Being a hostel warden is a truly fulfilling experience. I get to interact with students daily ensuring their safety, well-being, and discipline. It's rewarding to be a mentor to them , guiding them through personal and academic challenges. The university provides excellent hostel facilites and I take pride in maintaining a secure and comfortable for all residents
- Salary - Excellent
However, managing student complaints , late-night disturbance. It's challenging to balance strict rules while also being approached. Some nights can be sleepless, especially when dealing with medical emergencies or conflicts.
