Manager - Account & MIS

Role & responsibilities

The incumbent expected to ensure effective utilization of resources, maintain best practices in Accounting and Reporting. The following are the thrust areas:

• Timely and Accurate Accounting and Financial Reporting
• Ensure all Authority matrix / SOPs/ Policies are implemented
• Put in place all Internal controls with respect to the Revenue/ Cost and assets of the Company
• Development and growth of the Finance team

Key Responsibilities

• Monthly closing of financials with all accruals and closing entries of Revenue, costs and Depreciation.
• Preparing the detailed Branch wise MIS schedule for actual & budgeted amounts.
• Preparing Sales Performance data based on MIS.
• Preparing & maintaining prepaid expenses schedule and passing entries in books accordingly.
• Budgeting of cost, revenue & budgetary control of cost and variance reporting
• To identify areas of cost reduction & implement action plan
• Timely Reporting of MIS and the present the monthly performance with summary to the Business head and CEO
• Ensure strict adherence to SOPs for Revenue, Expenses, accounting and reporting
• Ensure proper & timely release of payments to the service providers
• Timely record of all transactions in software
• Ensure Reconciliation Payables at regular intervals, Cash and Bank reconciliations
• Maintaining Fixed Assets register.
• Statistical / data analysis for improvement of financial / commercial aspects of the company
• Keeping all insurance requirement up to date at all the times
• Dealing with banks, auditors.
• To carry out such jobs & other connected or incidental jobs, which are necessary due to exigencies of companies work & business requirements. Also to carry out such jobs that are within capabilities & / or work in any other post which may be temporarily assigned
• To ensure maintenance of records of books, files, registers, etc. depending upon usage. List of such records shall be prepared for convenience
• To review performance of subordinates
• Developing a team of competent subordinates and creating growth opportunities for team
• Assisting the management in handling various new project works

Preferred candidate profile

• Should have adequate experience in MIS, Accounting and Reporting in a medium sized company with monthly reporting and preparation of Annual Financials as per the Companies Act Requirement.
• Should be good in communication both written & verbal
• Should have handled a team of minimum 5 repartees
• Have worked in collaboration with other departments
• Go getter, self-initiator and have analytical skills
• Expertise in working in Excel. Word, power point
• Quick leaner of operating systems/ Financial & Reporting systems and the related controls
