Position Overview
The Head of Retail will lead the strategic and operational aspects of our retail network, encompassing Exclusive Brand Outlets (EBOs) and Large Format Retailers (LFRs). This role involves overseeing business development, managing retail projects, and driving visual merchandising strategies to enhance brand presence and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Retail Strategy & Operations:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize the performance of EBOs and LFRs.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, customer trends, and competitive landscape to inform strategies. Ensure adherence to company standards and operational guidelines across all retail locations.
Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships to expand the retail network. Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with retail partners and landlords.
- Oversee market research and feasibility studies for new retail locations.
Project Management:
- Lead and manage retail projects, including store openings, renovations, and relocations.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure project timelines and budgets are met. Implement and track project milestones, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
Visual Merchandising:
- Develop and execute visual merchandising strategies to enhance brand presentation and drive sales.
- Collaborate with design and marketing teams to create visually appealing and effective retail displays. Monitor and evaluate the impact of visual merchandising on sales and customer engagement.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Manage and mentor a team of retail managers, project coordinators, and visual merchandisers. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
- Provide training and development opportunities to ensure team members have the skills and knowledge required.
Budget Management:
- Prepare and manage budgets for retail operations, projects, and visual merchandising initiatives.
- Analyze financial performance and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare regular reports on retail performance, project progress, and visual merchandising effectiveness.
- Use data and insights to drive continuous improvement and make informed decisions.
Qualifications:
- MBA having 15-22 years of experience in retail management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role overseeing EBOs and LFRs.
- Proven track record in business development, project management, and visual merchandising.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to drive sales and profitability in a retail environment.
- Proficiency in project management tools and techniques.
- Strong understanding of visual merchandising principles and practices.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze financial reports and market data.
