Job Description:
The Testing Supervisor - EMI/EMC will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) standards and regulations. This position involves testing and evaluating electronic devices and systems for their susceptibility to electromagnetic interference (EMI) and their immunity to external electromagnetic disturbances. The successful candidate will work in our state-of-the-art 3-meter semi-anechoic chamber and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and safety.
Responsibilities:
1. EMI/EMC Testing:
- Conduct EMI/EMC radiation testing using the 3-meter semi-anechoic chamber.
- Perform EMI/EMC immunity testing to assess the product's resilience against external electromagnetic disturbances.
- Familiarity with software tools such as EMC 32 or higher versions for data analysis and reporting.
2. Specific Tests:
- Electrostatic Discharge Immunity Test (ESD): Evaluate the product's resistance to electrostatic discharges.
- Radiated Susceptibility Test Assess the product's vulnerability to radiated electromagnetic fields.
-Electrical Fast Transient (EFT)/Burst Immunity Test Evaluate the product's immunity to sudden voltage transients.
- Surge Immunity Test: Assess the product's response to power surges.
-Conducted RF Immunity Test: Evaluate the product's immunity to conducted radio frequency interference.
-Harmonics and Inter-Harmonics Immunity Test: Assess the impact of harmonic distortions on the product.
- Voltage Fluctuation Immunity Test: Evaluate the product's performance under voltage fluctuations.
- Flicker (Functional and Design Specifications): Assess the product's susceptibility to voltage flicker.
- Conducted Emission Test: Measure and analyze unintentional electromagnetic emissions from the product.
- Radiated Emission Test: Evaluate the product's unintentional radiation in the electromagnetic spectrum.
- Disturbance Power Test: Assess the impact of disturbances on the product's performance.
- Flicker Test: Evaluate the product's response to voltage fluctuations.
- Bulk Current Injection Test: Assess the product's immunity to injected currents.
- Automotive Transient Test: Evaluate the product's performance under transient conditions commonly found in automotive environments.
3. Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare detailed test plans, execute tests, and document results.
- Generate comprehensive test reports with clear findings and recommendations.
- Collaborate with design and development teams to address any identified issues.
4. Quality Assurance:
- Ensure compliance with international EMC standards (e.g., CISPR, IEC, FCC).
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to testing processes and methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering.
- 10-15 years of relevant experience in EMI/EMC testing.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
-Should have knowledge of ISO/IC 17025 : 2017
