Application Tester - Automation/Manual Testing (4-5 yrs)

Job Description :

We are seeking a detail-oriented Application Tester to evaluate and ensure the quality of our investment software applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the software testing life cycle (STLC) and experience in both manual and automated testing. This role involves working closely with developers and stakeholders to identify and resolve issues, ensuring our applications meet user requirements and perform optimally.

Responsibilities :

- Liases with the BA to ensure understanding of how the Out- of- the box system is configured as per the organization's agreed processes.

- Develop and execute test plans and test cases based on software requirements and technical specifications.

- Perform functional, stress, integration, and regression testing on investment software applications.

- Identify, document, and report bugs, errors, and inconsistencies within the application.

- Collaborate with software developers/configuration team to resolve issues and improve application performance.

- Review and analyze system specifications for consistency and testability.

- Conduct post-release and post-implementation testing to ensure ongoing quality.

- Continually update technical knowledge and skills by attending training sessions and reading relevant materials.

- Recommend improvements to the software application and testing processes.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Proven experience as an application tester or in a similar role.

- Familiarity with investment software applications and financial systems.

- Strong knowledge of QA tools, test case structure, and automated testing frameworks.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

- Certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE, or similar are a plus.

Skills :

- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, SQL, and scripting languages.

- Experience with automated testing tools and the use of JIRA

- Understanding of financial markets and investment principles.
