SAS Administrator - SQL/Macros (4-6 yrs)

Key Responsibilities :

SAS Administration :

- Manage and maintain the SAS environment, including installations, upgrades, and configuration.

- Monitor system performance, identify and resolve issues proactively.

- Implement security measures to protect sensitive data and prevent unauthorized access.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems related to SAS.

User Support :

- Provide technical support to users, including answering questions, troubleshooting issues, and providing training.

- Collaborate with users to understand their requirements and provide tailored solutions.

- Assist in the development and deployment of SAS solutions.

Process Automation :

- Develop and implement automated processes using SAS to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.

- Create and maintain SAS jobs and schedules to automate routine tasks.

Data Management :

- Manage and maintain SAS data, including data import, export, and transformation.

- Ensure data quality and integrity.

Performance Optimization :

- Monitor system performance and identify bottlenecks.

- Implement performance tuning techniques to optimize system performance.

Required Skills and Experience :

- Strong understanding of SAS programming languages (SAS Base, SAS Macro Language, SAS SQL, SAS/STAT, etc.)

- Experience with SAS administration tasks, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.

- Proficiency in SAS Management Console and other SAS tools.

- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.

- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Certification in SAS programming or administration.

- Experience with cloud-based SAS deployments (i.e., SAS Viya on Cloud).

- Knowledge of scripting languages (i.e., Python, Perl)
