Job Summary:

Should have experience on basic and detailed design on Infrastructure, Energy and M&M projects. Has a good knowledge of Electrical Physical design, the principles, and practices of related technical areas and of coordinating with other technical disciplines. Candidate should have exposure to Indian, US, Euro and other foreign codes/standards and local practices. Within discipline develops designs for complete and complex engineering systems, structures and plant arrangements under supervision. Plans and executes the presentation of these in detailed scale models.

Major Responsibilities:

Generates 2-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) plant layouts and drawings using Microstation / Auto CAD / Smart Sketch from detailed design 3-D CAD model with minimal guidance from others.

Proficient in S3D Equipment modelling, Raceway, Grounding, and lighting.

Preparation of 3-D CAD design model under the supervision of experienced designers. Assists in constructing detailed models and participates in client model reviews.

Prepares bulk material quantity takeoffs for materials applicable to the discipline.

Reviews design models, drawings and design documents prepared by others in the group and by material suppliers, as assigned.

Compiles, maintains, and accesses job drawing files, records, and drawing controls.

Works with designers in other disciplines to coordinate overall design and technical requirements.

Participates in and fosters a work environment that is based upon openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Min. 3 Years of experience, courses in drafting, design and engineering practices, and CAD, or a recognized diploma.

Site experience will be an added advantage.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Sound knowledge of CAD design and drafting techniques using S3D, Microstation/AutoCAD, engineering drawing, graphic arts, reading of drawings and reproduction methods used by the discipline.

Familiarity with relevant design standards and guides, Skill in reading, interpreting, and using related documents and drawings prepared by other project groups
