As a Senior UI Engineer, you will have the opportunity to be part of Agile team responsible for building a cloud ready reporting platform that will offer self-service reporting tools backed with a big-data analytic infrastructure and distributed In Memory aggregation engine. You will be deeply involved in building a platform that can handle billions of messages in a day efficiently to support in delivering cross-asset internal and external regulatory reports. Your work in this role will have a deep impact throughout the organization as the RFT team is responsible for a wide variety of delivery initiatives that are carried out across all business areas.

To be successful as a Senior UI Engineer, you should have experience with

• Four-year college degree (or better) in computer science or related discipline.
• Expertise in Angular UI design and development.
• Proven hands-on experience in software development with Python, Java, Angular UI, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS etc.
• Understanding of GIT, Agile methodologies and SDLC phases.

Some other highly valued skills may include

• Understanding of the financial markets and environment; willingness and capacity to learn complex financial and risk management concepts.
• Experience in Linux, Python, Java/C#, Angular UI TypeScript, HTML5, CSS.
• Experience in building Big Data Analytic Reporting technologies- HDFS, Spark, Distributed Caches, Python, and BI tools like Power BI/Tableau.

Purpose of the role

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

Accountabilities

• Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
• Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
• Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
• Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
• Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
