About the Role:
afaqs! is seeking a highly creative and trend-savvy individual to further develop our Instagram presence,
focusing on creating dynamic and engaging content around marketing campaigns, industry updates, and
the latest trends in advertising and creativity. The ideal candidate will be passionate about moment
marketing, memes, creative posts, and showcasing the most interesting ads and campaigns through
engaging posts, carousels and reels. You'll be tasked with making afaqs! the go-to account for insightful
content in the advertising and agency space, just like competitors.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Content Ideation & Creation:
Develop and manage a calendar that highlights the latest marketing campaigns (domestic and
international, both), trends, creative ads, and industry updates. Craft visually appealing posts, reels,
memes, and carousels that engage our audience and reflect the afaqs! brand voice.
2) Trend Spotting & Moment Marketing:
Stay on top of trending topics, memes, and cultural moments to create real-time, relevant content.
Capitalize on moment marketing opportunities to drive engagement and brand visibility.
3) Industry Insights & Campaign Highlights:
Curate and present interesting ad campaigns, marketing stunts, and creative ideas from agencies, local
businesses, and brands. Offer insights on what makes campaigns effective, sparking conversation and
engagement.
4) Creative & Insightful Reels:
Leverage Instagrams Reels feature to create quick, snappy, and informative content on the latest
industry trends, campaign insights, and creative ads, helping our audience stay updated and inspired.
5) Memes & Light-hearted Content:
Use humor and creativity to engage the audience through meme marketing, ensuring afaqs! is part of the
everyday conversation in the advertising and marketing space.
6) Engagement & Community Building:
Engage actively with the audience through comments, DMs, and mentions.
7) Competitor Analysis:
Monitor Instagram content from rivals. Innovate and ensure afaqs! stands out through unique and bold
content strategies.
8) Data Analysis:
Analyze data to continuously refine content strategy and optimize posts for better performance.
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in social media management, specifically Instagram, with a focus on marketing,
advertising, or media content.
Proven ability to create engaging content, particularly in the form of carousels, reels, infographics,
memes, and creative posts that resonate with an industry-focused audience.
Strong understanding of moment marketing, trends, and the advertising ecosystem.
Excellent copywriting skills with a knack for simplifying complex topics and making them engaging.
Experience with visual design tools (e.g., Canva)
An eye for creativity and a passion for showcasing innovative ads, campaigns, and marketing insights.
Ability to adapt quickly to social media trends and drive timely content.
Knowledge of Instagram analytics and the ability to adjust strategy based on performance.
Should be comfortable with a flexible and dynamic work schedule.
