Responsible for all Risk related data reporting to Senior Management Team and MD s office.
This position is also responsible for running a robust Daily Pre-approved Offer generation process, campaign control and governance process that would enable excellence in campaign execution and display of Pre-approved offers in the 3in1 App which is a key strategy of the Company.
Responsible for creating and implementing Auth BRE process which will be common across all offers generated by campaign governance process or generated online based on customer s inputs to reduce difference in two processes of offer generation.
Enabling all the Risk team with daily/weekly/monthly data with automated reports in visual format via tools like Power BI, SSRS etc. This team is also responsible for analyzing data and provide insights to the risk team.
This position is responsible for creating a dedicated team which will produce annual and monthly loss forecasting for all portfolios, against which all risk managers track the loss of portfolio.
This position is also created to build a specialized team has deep expertise in data management, data engineering etc. which will be responsible for creating a data environment by transforming the data into a format that can be easily analyzed by all business risk users including PLCS, SAL PL, BL, DL, B2B and Credit Cards. This team is also responsible for implementing methods and best practices to improve data reliability and quality.
Create data structures, infra & management insights and recommendations basis the data explosion that is expected to happen post launch of the 3in1 Mobile App which is the central strategy of the company.
As the head of Data Engineering, Campaign & BIU the core responsibilities are:
1. Ownership of Data - As the head of Data Engineering, the entire ownership of the data being used by all Risk Horizontal (B2B, B2C, SME, PPL, Two-Wheeler, Auto Finance, Gold Loan, Microfinance and LAP), Risk Analytics, Underwriting and RCU will reside with the profile.
Designing - All data project design resides with this profile. This entails to frequent review of design, re-optimization to ensure the performance and reliability is maintained.
Development and maintaining the Data - This profile will own the responsibility of ensuring the development and maintenance of these pipelines. Frequent management and stake holder reviews and updates are to be shared.
Head the Change Governance Board - Chair the governing body responsible for introducing changes to the data ecosystem.
Assisting the respective teams to automate their research and analytics operation
Verifying the authenticity and validity of the data
Data Quality and Assessment - Responsible to ensure the quality of the data being consumed by risk is always reliable. If there are issues with data quality, then appropriate action must be taken to ensure that the same is rectified either at source or perform the correction as an ad-hoc process ensuring the consumers are not affected.
2. Responsible for Daily Offer Generation process, Campaign Execution & Governance process (Critical component of Company 3in1 Strategy) -
Data Sanitization
i. Design creation of campaign system of records that will enable single version of truth w.r.t campaign waterfall, communication and response history, fulfilment history etc.
ii. Establish standardization of definitions across metrics and businesses
Infra creation, maintenance & controls
i. Work with IT to build the functional System of Records that will enable seamless campaign operations, easy data access for BI and other requirements
ii. Deep understanding of Data Management system, Campaign systems (UNICA), CRM platform (SFDC), De-dupe system etc.
iii. Define processes to eliminate errors in calculation and upload of offers. Build controls charts around it to proactively identify errors and fix them.
iv. Create, execute, and monitor end-to-end campaign and its performance.
v. Conduct Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) and architect overall Campaign control and governance process to ensure designs that are fail safe
vi. Architecting campaign system of records that will become one single repository of past and future campaigns. This system of records should enable easy access of campaign waterfall, communication and response history, fulfilment history etc.
vii. Design workflows capable of handling BIG Data processes as B2C campaigns will involve dealing with data with multi million recordsviii. Enable the execution of Daily Campaign process where full policy campaign runs are executed on a daily basis against the current monthly proces
3. Building and Managing Large scale horizontal data projects - Responsible for designing, architecting, building, and maintaining all horizontal risk data projects (example, Campaign Ecosystem capable of generating offers for all lines of business)
Frontrunner in implementing large scale projects with deep understanding of different technology stacks to leverage the correct technology to solve for a given problem
Single point of contact as consultant to independent teams inside risk on design architecture and automation
Envisage, Imagine and Plan out large scale Data as Products such as AI on BI built to make the life of a Risk Manager easier. To provide real time insights along with the report with respect to the variables that have caused the movement in key risk metrics which are tracked by Risk portfolio managers. This will greatly reduce the time spent by Risk Managers in doing root cause analysis for any adverse movement in Risk metrics.
Spearhead the migration of analysis and reporting done on End Of Day to Real or Near Realtime - Build appropriate capabilities to help other risk units leverage the same.
4. Automation of Analytical Workflows - All Data Pipelines required for any analytical models will be performed by the data engineering team. They will also be responsible to ensure the smooth execution of the pipelines on Real or Near Real time
5. 3in1 related data infrastructure - 3in1 Mobile App is the central strategy of the company. This is going to lead to a data explosion within the organization.
Responsible for normalizing & standardizing all 3in1 related data variables as per risk unit requirements
Creating a data infrastructure which can store 3in1 data at a customer record level and which can be easily accessible to risk teams for analysis
Making 3in1 data variables available for seamless daily campaign executions.
6. Auth BRE - A single repository of Rule engine where policies get coded at one place for all 56 campaigns. This will work as a control framework for all policies.
Responsible for creating rule engine for all products which will cater all customers (existing or new).
Rules at one place will reduce the TAT for implementing changes across customer base.
Real time calculation/modification in offer based on user inputs.
As the Head of Risk BIU the responsibilities are:
7. Provide insights on standard KPI metrics to the stake holders on pre-defined intervals so as to keep them updated and informed on the latest trends.
Perform outlier analysis and perform additional deep dives or Case Studies to help stake holders better understand deviations
Educate and inform stake holders periodically on new findings to help tweak existing process or bridge gaps.
8. Loss Estimation Automation - Responsible for accuracy in prediction of Loan Losses using past trend in order to reduce the gap between Estimate and Actual loan losses for all portfolios.

Major Challenges
Data Availability - Ensuring the data is available in real or near real-time for consumption by downstream application is essential for the success of projects like Risk Mart & Offer Generation. This involves moving, cleansing, and sorting over 100cr records per day across the entire eco-system.
Data Quality & New Data Availability - BFL is a growing eco-system where new source of data is acquired by the organization frequently. This raises the need of the organization to consolidate this information in a meaningful manner and also have the capability to sanitize and cleans this information before consumption.
Due to the inherent silos created in the organization, each independent Risk Unit prepares their own data. With the organization growing exponentially over the past few years, it has become imperative to avoid duplication and ensure standardization of variable definitions across all risk units to ensure parity & common knowledge base.
AI on BI - Compute power in current infra for real time insights. Identification of all variables that have an effect on the causality of KPI movement and to execute the compute on such a huge database
