1. Database Design and Development: Ensuring that database services are designed and built with high availability, performance, and resiliency.
2. System Architecture: Collaborating with other engineering teams to architect and implement database platforms in a distributed cloud environment.
3. Performance Optimization: Continuously improving database performance and ensuring maximum availability.
4. High Availability Solutions: Implementing high availability and replication technologies like Data Guard and GoldenGate / Selective replication
5. Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Handling production operations and troubleshooting complex issues.
6. Scripting and Automation: Developing scripts and automation tools to enhance database operations.
7. Security and Compliance: Ensuring that databases comply with security standards and regulations.

Key Decisions / Dimensions
1. Technology Stack: Maintenance schedule, Optimisation approach , Upgrade and Migrate approach and frequency
2. Code Quality: Automation implementation , using customisation scripts
3. Security: Implementing authentication, authorization, and data protection measures
4. Development & Deployment: managing version control, and optimizing performance
5. Collaboration: Selecting tools for communication and project management and maintaining documentation
6. Product Evolution: Prioritizing feature development and managing technical debt

Required Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications: Graduate or post- graduate in computer science and engineering
Work Experience: 2 - 3years
Required Skills:
1. Provide 24x7 support for mission critical production systems
2. Excellent written and verbal communication
3. MYSQL Database Installation/Configuration, monitoring, managing, and maintaining databases
4. Experience of DB Backup/Restoration and Disaster Recovery methods
5. Implementing replication solutions such as using Multi Master Replication , Multi Slave Replication , Selective replication ,configuring MEM . Percona Monitoring Solution Servers
6. SQL query tuning hands-on experience
7. Implementation various database automation techniques to reduce operational overhead.
8. Experience in Management of MYSQL InnODB Cluster , MYSQL Enterprise Backup , Features - Encryption , Redaction , Database Table Partitioning
9. Should have good documentation skills
