Restaurant Hostess

Role & responsibilities

• Greet guests as soon as they step into the restaurant
• Escort guests to their respective table
• Answer all phone calls regarding reservations and other inquiries
• Manage table reservations
• Make relevant recommendations to guests from the menu
• Coordinate with various departments of the restaurant
• Ensure smooth service by waiters and kitchen staff
• Address guest complaints and engage in redressal in a swift manner
• Maintain a clean and organized space in the reception, stand, and lobby area
• Assist with auxiliary tasks like noting down takeaway orders
• Processing all kinds of payments

• Be a multitasker with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Have a pleasing demeanor
• Stay calm and composed even under pressure
• Flexibility in working long hours, weekends, and holidays
• Basic computer operation skills and knowledge of reservation systems
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in customer service or the hospitality industry is preferred
• Fluent in English and the native language
