Job Title: Data Engineer
Location: Bangalore
Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and solutions to support the banking client s critical data initiatives. In addition to core engineering responsibilities, this role will actively contribute to end-to-end project delivery, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure timely and high-quality execution of data projects.

Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and solutions to support the banking client s critical data initiatives. In addition to core engineering responsibilities, this role will actively contribute to end-to-end project delivery, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure timely and high-quality execution of data projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize robust data pipelines for batch and real-time processing.
- Build and maintain ETL processes for structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
- Implement data quality, validation, and monitoring frameworks.
- Engage in project planning, estimation, and execution activities in alignment with project timelines and client expectations.
- Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver fit-for-purpose data solutions.
- Ensure that all solutions comply with data security, governance, and regulatory requirements of the banking sector.
- Actively participate in status meetings, provide project updates, and manage deliverables to meet agreed timelines.
- Troubleshoot, optimize,and support production data workflows.
- Work closely with client teams based in New York, ensuring smooth communication and delivery.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Data Engineer, ideally in banking or financial services.
- Proven experience in delivering data-focused projects in a client-facing environment.
- Strong expertise in SQL, data modeling, and ETL development.
- MS SCOM, Solarwinds , Oracle & MSSQL, PPostgreSQLknowledge
- Good understanding of data security and regulatory compliance for financial institutions.
- Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with global teams.
Preferred:
- Experience with streaming platforms (Kafka, Kinesis).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Scala).
- Prior exposure to project delivery methodologies (Agile, Scrum) in banking projects.
- Experience working with US-based clients.
Work Hours:
- Willingness to align work hours to ensure effective overlap with the US Eastern Time Zone for meetings and project delivery coordination.
